Growing interest in facade maintenance
Property owners are increasingly interested in facade maintenance. The demand is high, particularly for joint sealing, cleaning and maintenance painting of facades.
The growth in renovation work has also significantly increased the number of maintenance repairs. Renovation specialist Consti has responded to the growing demand by broadening and diversifying the range of work carried out by its Service units.
“During the past year, the need for long-term maintenance services has increased particularly among housing companies. Even though Consti is often perceived as specialising in major renovation projects, we also want to provide our customers with small-scale maintenance services,” says Risto Kivi, CEO of Consti Building Facades Ltd.
According to Kivi, the company is expanding its Service business. The latest confirmed deals include a long-term maintenance contract with the rental housing company VVO. The contract covers six sites.
Servicing and maintenance services ensure that repair needs are addressed in good time. Regular maintenance extends the life of buildings. Consti Building Facades has a separate Service Unit, which is responsible for planning and conducting maintenance work.
“In addition to carrying out actual maintenance work, we also provide help with identifying maintenance and repair needs. For example, when we work to improve the energy efficiency of a building, we not only focus on radiators and ventilation, but also look at the sealing of the entire building envelope: the roof, windows, wall base and facade surfaces,” says Project Manager Petri Silvennoinen.
In addition to VVO, Consti’s other recent Service clients include the rental property owners Helsingin Asumisoikeus Oy, Asokodit and Espoon Asunnot as well as the building management company Corbel Oy.
Consti Service also helps customers in the Group’s other business units, Consti Building Services and Consti Renovation Contracting.
